Post-16 Options

Following completion of GCSEs in Year 11, students must remain in some form of education or training until they are 18 years old. The common pathways that students take are 6th Form, College, Apprenticeship, or traineeship.
The choice that students make needs to be individual to them and their future plans. In school we organise a week of assemblies for our students covering all these pathways, with an introduction from our independent careers advisor Mike Gilbert from Entrust about all options and how to start going about in deciding which pathway is right for them.
To support this, we have organised for videos from some of the providers that offer pathways for our students which give more information on what this pathway entails, to help our students make informed choices about their own career pathway plans.
